who thinks that the mods are a little over hasty to ban lately?
I mean, its good to do your job, and I'm not trying to publicly bash you in any way, just trying to vent.
But I got banned for responding to a spam thread in an unfit manner, which I could understand. Then after my ban, I responded to a thread and just politely said that it should go in the political forum. I went to reply to another thread and, BAM! "Banned because "backseat modding is annoying". I'm sorry that I like to see things in order and am trying to cut mods a break. It'd be really annoying if someone PM'd the mods whenever something was wrong or out of place. So instead, some of us who aren't as high up try to just politely remind and keep things orderly, and get banned for it.
It just doesn't seem right. There needs to be more of a reason than "thats annoying". You could easily PM me and either politely ask me to stop or even flat out tell me to knock it the fuck off. Banning is hardly a fair punishment for that.
Whatever, guess I'll just have to lay super low like everyone else...

I think it depends on how you say it. If you went all "This should really go on the Politics Forum you know." without providing a link to the forum, that would be considered backseat modding. I think you have to provide a relevant link =P
I did. I linked the text and it said "This should probably go here :]"
Its not like I was trying to flame anyone.
